A Note from Colonel Thomas

Description

Thomas Thomas served as the colonel and commander of the 2nd Regiment of Westchester County Militia during the Revolutionary War. He was later elected to the New York State Assembly. Here, he notifies Gerard Bancker, New York State Treasurer, to pay his wages for serving as a member of the assembly to Jonathan G. Tompkins (1736-1823), whose son Daniel D. Tompkins would later become Vice President of the United States.
